Rallye du Valais może zająć miejsce Principe de Asturias. Wróciła Japonia, w tym roku skreślona z przyczyn budżetowych. Lipcowy Rally Hokkaido z bazą w Obihiro ma poprzedzać Rally Japan - wrześniową rundę WRC w Sapporo.
